Grimény Alex’s Hand Company Fuck: Berlin
July 2 @ 8:00 pm - July 3 @ 12:00 am
This German Violent Love Noise trio is conceptually focused on the idea of disappointment: letdowns, failures, shortcomings. And they walk the walk. Look how uncomfortable they are in their royal frockery. That one dude’s beard is weak, and that one other dude doesn’t even have a beard. And to top it off, their music is compositionally inspiring and flawlessly played and not disappointing at all.
ALEX’S HAND is a polystylistic avant-garde, experimental rock group centered around bassist Kellen Mills and drummer Nic Barnes. It was launched in Seattle, Washington in 2011, and is currently based out of Berlin, Germany. Dabbling in everything from rock, metal, jazz, avant-grade, classical, progressive and experimental music, ALEX’S HAND has self-released three full-length studio albums, two EPs, a live album, and an album of spontaneous live improvisations. Aside from their studio ambitions, the band has toured extensively throughout the United States, France, the UK and Germany, organized festivals (including “Avant Garden” in Seattle), and played various festivals (including the famed “SeaProg” in Seattle).
COMPANY FUCK is a one-man noisecore karaoke explosion. Known for his energetic and unpredictable live shows, Company Fuck simultaneously performs (and parodies) the roles of DJ, MC, singer, and dancer in an irreverent yet loving way which satirizes musicians, the music business, and music in general. From improvised pop/noise cut-ups to sexually psychedelic costumes, Company Fuck brings a futuristic approach to live performance with a totally interactive show that transcends the limitations of good musicianship and good taste. In his own unique way, Company Fuck transforms the stage into a hyper- violent karaoke bar of the future – and he may even persuade the audience to sing along.
