Cardboard Hearts + Prismala
June 17, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Show Start: 7:30
Cardboard Hearts is a youthful up and coming Berlin-based indie pop rock quartet. Cardboard Hearts blends indie musical inventiveness with dynamic dance worthy pop rock, running all of their rehearsals in between their high school studies; their Russian bass player a slap bass enthusiast never shy to flaunt his dreadlocks; their ringo-esc Danish drummer composedly driving the music’s groundwork; their 13-year classically trained violinist – the “heart and soul of the band” – defining their unique sound; and their buoyant frontman – the lyricist – singing catchy head-boppy melodies about the woes of affection and adolescence – often along with their avid teenage audience. David Mouriquand of Ex/Berliner described Cardboard Hearts as ″a young alternative/indie rock band, channeling the spirit of the British indie and the post-punk revival of the mid-00s.″ The band recently released their first full length studio album titled “If My Thoughts Could Be Heard”, after their self-titled debut EP in March of 2016 all receiving great support in Berlin/worldwide and radio time in Denmark and Luxembourg.
